Prediksi Kualitas Gula dan Tetes Menggunakan Near Infrared Spectroscopy
Abstract
Near Infrared Spectroscopy merupakan metode sekunder untuk menggantikan metode konvensional. Pada penelitian ini NIR digunakan untuk menganalisa kualitas gula dan tetes. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dari Laboratorium Pusat Penelitian Perkebunan Gula Indonesia. Peralatan yang digunakan adalah NIR FOSS DS2500. Sebelum digunakan NIR dikalibrasi menggunakan software WINSI IV. Kalibrasi menggunakan metode partia least square selanjutnya model kalibrasi digunakan untuk validasi sampel independent. Evaluasi kalibrasi dan validasi berdasarkan nilai koefisien korelasi (R2). Standar error calibration (SEC), standar error cross validation (SECV) dan ratio of prediction to deviation (RPD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk sampel gula, parameter pol, warna, berat jenis butir dan kadar sulfit memiliki nilai R2 > 0,9. Sementara itu nntuk sampel tetes, parameter brix, pol, sukrosa dan optical density memiliki nilai R2 > 0,9. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa NIR memungkinkan digunakan sebagai substitusi metode konvensional untuk analisa kualitas gula dan tetes.
